Life lessons from the kitchen

Flexible- able to make changes or deal with a situation that is changing, to bend or move freely

I was in class yesterday and my professor made for us a huge batch of dough and as he was making it he said add approximatly 36 cups of flour or until it becomes flexible and not all sticky. After which he released us to let our creativity fly to make whatever we wanted whether it be a Pizza or a calzone but I chose to make Cinnamon rolls and…

Doughnuts…sigh these wonderful sugary creation which you can choose to keep them whole and fill with a filling or fill the holes (we only had raspberry filling) and I also did chocolate stripes. They were so good.

What does this have to do with being flexible you might ask? well dough stretches and after it’s been proofed you have t roll it out to the desired shape using a rolling pin to control the shape of the dough it will bend which ever way you direct it. We need to be flexible like dough allowing God to bend and shape us into the person he wants us to be. if we listen to his voice and his calling for our life we will turn out like doughnuts, wonderful and sugary and glorifying to the creator. 🙂
