Forgiveness cookies

In the past year my biblestudy/youth group which I am a youth leader has read through great books, gone to some conferences that have left an impact for awhile, gone on retreats, had group prayer time, but I still felt like something was missing from my spiritual life… The act of serving while praying for others. On sunday my small group got together and we participated in baking 9 dozenish cookies for the “Kairos Prison ministry” they set up a weekend (I think it’s in 2 weeks) to spend 3 days in intensive spiritual conversation with 42 prisoners while giving them cookies. They need 100,000 dozen cookies which kinda blows my mind. during the weekend each prisoner gets cookies to take back to his inmates and at the end of the weekend they have to ask forgiveness from someone that they’ve held a grudge against or dislike and then they can give them a bag of cookies. Its a really neat program that demonstrates God’s love and forgiveness.
